2021 Budget: How America Finance Its Armed Forces …why Nigeria security challenge will remain worse

The way and manner the government of Nigeria makes budgetary allocation of funds is the corruption that need to end if the people must witnessed development.

Funds in Nigeria are allocated to existing few criminals to continue to gain more while the poor and working class citizens pay more as tax to finance the loot.

Funds in America are allocated to promote and create new jobs as the rich and working class citizens give more to finance the uplifting of the poor and reducing unemployment rates in the country.

This study takes a look at the way and manner America and Nigeria governments plan to finance its armed forces.

The study is necessary due to the successes America soldiers gained recently when they flew into Nigeria to kill six gunmen and rescue the America citizen taken hostage.

Nigeria budgets a total of N1.061 trillion for Defence under the ministry of Defence and service wide vote.

America Defence is made up of American Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Space Force.

Nigeria Defence is made up of Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force.

America believes in the employment of more youths as the right National Defence strategy.

Nigeria sees National Defence strategy as giving more to the criminal few under the guise of allowance or better described as special allowance.

America plans to employ 13,000 more youths into its armed forces to increase the Defence man power strength to 2,153,500 (2.153 million) active duty and reserved personnel.

Nigeria Defence man power strength is less than 500,000 (500 thousand) active duty and reserved personnel.

America will spend $636.4 billion to pay salary and wages, bonuses, benefits to the 2.153 million active duty and reserved personnel in 2021.

Nigeria will spend less than N217 billion to pay salary and wages for the less than 500 thousand active duty and reserved personnel.

Annoyingly, Nigeria will spend more than N555 billion as allowance or better described as special allowance in 2021.

This money is usually stolen by criminal few in government. Nigeria soldiers don’t get it.

Ninety-nine percent of the Nigerian Army capital project are items that do not add value to the Defence of the country rather they are mostly personal gain capital projects.America will spend $46.1 billion to increase essential personnel growth of the newest military service, the United States Space Force, USSF, 115 modern fighter aircrafts, strengthen missile defeat and defense programs, buy F-35, KC-46 aerial refueling tanker, development of the new stealth bomber, buy long range precision artillery, combat vehicles, helicopters, modernization of one armored brigade combat team amongst others.Nigeria military will use N49 billion for the construction and provision of recreational facilities, purchase of official vehicles, completion of Naval war college, upgrading of Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, renovation and beautification of military cemeteries across the six geopolitical zones, among others.The solution to Nigeria problems now is to withdraw the 2021 budget and all those allowances reduced to create new jobs for the youths.
