
Alleged Blasphemy: Killer Students Must Face Justice – UK
British Minister for Africa, Latin America, Caribbean and Member of Parliament representing Chelmsford, Vicky Ford has said those who stoned and burnt to death a female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, Deborah Samuel over alleged blasphemous statement against Prophet Mohammed SAW must be made to face justice.
Ford tweeted her concern for Nigeria on Friday with a call on all relevant authorities to fisher the killers.
Ford described the crime as barbaric and heinous act.
“I utterly condemn the murder of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto, Nigeria.
“The perpetrators of this barbaric and heinous act must be brought to justice by the police and relevant authorities in line with the law”, Vicky Ford said.
Meanwhile, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing has also demanded the security operatives to ensure that the killers of the student are made to face justice inline with the law.
Catriona Laing also made the call via his twitter account on Friday.
“I condemn the murder of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto, and urge the police and relevant authorities to ensure the perpetrators of this horrific act are made to face justice in line with the law”, Catriona Laing said.
