
Arise TV Host, Rufai Oseni Fined For Traffic Violation After Threatening Policemen To Call The Governor
Arise TV Host, Rufai Oseni was in the news on Monday after he tweeted that a policeman pointed a gun at him on the high sea in Lagos State and forcefully collected his car keys and took the car away because he drove on the BRT lane.
His tweet got a reply from the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Benjamin Hundeyin, who stated that, the TV journalist violated the law and resisted the law enforcement officers. Benjamin added that the excuses and reasons, Rufai Oseni gave are not acceptable.
While the social media faceoff continued, a video showing the air personality, Rufai Oseni boosting and threatening to call the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the policemen who inbounded his vehicle surfaced on social media.
The video generated alot of reactions from the public.
The TV broadcaster, Rufai Oseni, was subsequently made to appear in court where he was found guilty for violating the state traffic law and thereafter fined the sum of 70,000 naira.
Lagos State police command spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this on Tuesday in a tweet.


Hundeyin said, “Mr Rufai Oseni was in court earlier today. He was found guilty of contravening Lagos State Transport Law (2018). He was subsequently fined Seventy Thousand Naira Only. He made the payment, after which his vehicle was released to him.”
