
Corruption: Soludo Bans Politicians, Public Servants From Open Donations In Anambra

Governor of Anambra State; Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR was at St Matthew Catholic Church Amawbia today 4th December 2022, as the church mark it’s 2022 harvest and bazaar in a style.
While addressing the Catholic faithful, he urged Ndi Anambra to ensure they play their part in whatever little way they can as his administration continued it’s relentless efforts to create a secured, livable, smart, and prosperous homeland for Ndi Anambra.
“Part of our resolve is to ensure we reduce to the barest minimum the prevalent of corruption in public service.
“This we intend to achieve by making it a rule that no public servant is allowed to make open donation of cash at public functions” He said.
He further added that when a public servant earning less than 500,000 naira is invited to a public event and pressurized to donate 1,000,000 naira, he will go back to his office looking for where to steal such huge amount he donated out of pressure.
He promised that Anambra will be great again but everyone must make contribution and sacrifice to achieve it.
Recall that the governor handed over employment letters to 5000 newly employed teachers in the state few days ago, the government has awarded 230 kilometers of Roads, with ongoing plans to perfect end to hospital without doctors and many more actions of the government to ensure Ndi Anambra got change they voted for.
Other dignitaries at the event include; Chief of staff to the governor; Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner for Special Duties; Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, Anambra Central Senator; Iyom Uche Ekwunife, Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Protocol to the governor; Mr Chinedu Nwoye Glamour, The National Chairman of APGA; Ozonkpu Victor Oye played host to the entourage.
