
Council Boss Visits Family Of Vigilante Killed In Edo

A group of kidnappers yesterday killed one of the vigilante members who went on a rescue mission in Obagie community with a view to freeing kidnap victims.
The death occurred during a gun battle between the vigilante and the kidnappers inside a bush in Obagie Community.
The son of the deceased, Mr. Endurance Abiemwense said the deceased left home in the morning when he heard that some persons were kidnapped but was surprised to hear that his father was dead.

According to him ” my father left home but we didn’t know that he will not come back alive”.
He stated this when the chairman of Uhunmwonde Local Government Area, Hon. Napoleon Agbama who was represented by the councillor of ward 2 in council area, Hon. Emmanuel Gold Uwagboe paid the family a condolence visit.
The chairman who mandated the councilor of ward 2 to speak on his behalf promised that the council would continue funding the deceased children’s education and ensure that they were well taken care of.
“The council will take care of the education of the children and ensure that all their needs are met as the council is with a heavy heart on receiving the demise of one of the security who has contributed immensely in the area of security “, He said.

The chairman also promised to tighten security apparatus in the council area to ensure that such ugly incident would be checkmated subsequently.
Hon. Agbama allayed fear of insecurity in the area and promised to support the security agencies to end the ugly trend.
