Early media statement credited to the Edo traditional ruler, Enogie of Uroho Community in the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, His Royal Highness Friday Iguodala Ogieriakhi has suggested that the death of his lover, Faith Aigbe whose body was found lifeless and partially naked in his car at the Edo State Specialist Hospital in Benin City on Thurday have a possible case of assassination theory.

Friday Iguodala Ogieriakhi while at the Police state station granted an interview with the Edo State Broadcasting Service, EBS reporter, Benedict Okate that Faith Aigbe died inside his car while rushing her to central hospital for emergency medical attention.

Ogieriakhi said the deceased Mother, Mrs Gladys Aigbe took her daughter to Abuja to abort her almost 9 months pregnancy without his consent, agreeing being the one responsible.

Ogieriakhi said he knew Faith Aigbe when both were still students at Edo State College of Education, Ekiadolor and the young lady was pregnant for him over 9 months before the mother allegedly to took her to Abuja to abort the baby.

A careful study of Ogieriakhi statement, the traditional ruler did not give account of what happened on the fateful day Faith Aigbe died but made suggestive statement to blame the mother of the decease for her death.

According to the Enogie, he told his lover, Faith Aigbe during chat “You have don what your mother asked you to do”

This alone is another hypothesis for investigation which suggest that everyone around the house, area where Faith Aigbe and Friday Iguodala Ogieriakhi had last contact before she was found dead inside the Enogie car on Thursday must be willing to submitt themselves to the police to assist to unravel the truth.

Ogieriakhi said the pregnancy was “8 months plus. Let me say 9 months”

The Enogie did not mention the date or period the mother allegedly took Faith Aigbe to Abuja to abort the pregnancy.

But the Enogie said his lover, Faith Aigbe came to him few days after her return from Abuja to beg him for forgiveness over the abortion of the baby.

Family of the decease said Faith Aigbe left the house on Tuesday September 7, 2021 and was not seen untill Thursday September 9, 2021 when her lifeless body was found inside the Enogie tinted lexus sport vehicle at the Edo State Specialist Hospital.

This also shows the hospital management and most especially all security operatives on duty must willingly make themselves available to the police in order to unravel the truth.

Hospital is not a dumbing ground. Who drove the vehicle to the hospital, who performed security check at the entrance gate before giving the vehicle a pass, how did the driver of the vehicle managed to leave the hospital leaving behind the vehicle with the dead body locked inside, did the security operatives informed the hospital authority and what was the immediate action of the hospital management.

An uncle of the decease said when he arrived the hospital on Thurday after receiving a distress call that his niece is rushed to the hospital, he asked for the whereabout of Faith Aigbe almost everywhere down to the mortuary section of the hospital until an official of the hospital asked him to check inside a parked lexus vehicle where he found the lifeless body of his niece.

Following Ogieriakhi statement that Faith Aigbe was almost nine months pregnant for him, and Faith Aigbe came to him few days after the abortion was allegedly done suggest that the Enogie agreed to have impregnated Faith Aigbe in January, 2021.

The family also shows a medical report of Faith Aigbe, a pregnancy test carried out in April, 2021 that shows Faith Aigbe was not pregnant.

This does not distract us from the facts that some girls who sleep with married men use fake pregnancy as a way to get money or more money from married men often referred to as sugar daddies.

But Ogieriakhi have the burden to prove Faith Aigbe was pregnant and the baby belongs to him.

A picture suggesting as if Faith Aigbe was pregnant as reported by EBS and a similar picture of such posted by Faith Aigbe on her Facebook wall on May 3, 2021 suggest the alleged pregnancy should be 5 months old according to the photograph.

This and alleged voice note has been an issue of claim and counter claim by Ogieriakhi and the family.

The Family dismissed the claim that their daughter was pregnant for 8 months or almost 9 months as alleged by Ogieriakhi, insisting, the alleged voice note is not the voice of their daughter.

The family invited Faith Aigbe Church pastor who gave an account of Faith Aigbe as somebody that any form of pregnancy was not noticed around her during the church programme held few weeks ago, which if Ogieriakhi statement is to be examined, Faith Aigbe alleged pregnancy should be almost 8 months old then: the video of the church programme saw Faith Aigbe dancing extensively with no sign of somebody heavy with a child.

For the purpose of facts, we are aware of some women with good body structure who may be pregnant for 9 months and the pregnancy may look like as if it’s 3 months old but in this case, pregnancy and alleged case of abortion do not count and such can only be relevant to Court of Law if Friday Iguodala Ogieriakhi helped the deceased family and the general public by giving account beat by beat, day by day, time by time details of what happened the day Faith Aigbe died.

Based on the true picture of what happened, it is the duty of Court of Law to consider hiring medical expert to know the root cause of Faith Aigbe death if it could be connected to pregnancy or alleged abortion but for now, we condemned the action of a traditional ruler, Friday Iguodala Ogieriakhi for not giving the family a detailed account of what transpired between him and Faith Aigbe on the day of her death in the interview with EBS but assuming what could be the cause of Faith Aigbe death.

The media report is already an exhibit that can be used in Court of Law to establish assassination theory if the investigation into the case suggest any other life threatening activities like forced sex, dangerous argument involving minor or serious assault because the lifeless body was found half naked without under wear.

This also bring to concern the deceased family allegation that Ogieriakhi could have beaten Faith Aigbe to death because Ogieriakhi learnt that Faith Aigbe was planning marriage with another lover.

The deceased mother, Mrs Gladys Aigbe said she refused her daughter from marrying Ogieriakhi because the traditional ruler is already married with 3 wives and children.
