Edo Gets Commissioner For Roads And Bridges

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has assigned and deployed 19 commissioners newly appointed to their various ministries.

Some of the newly created ministries include Ministry of Roads And Bridges.

The deployment of the political appointees were contained in a circular dated February 18, 2022 and signed by Osarodion Ogie, the Secretary to the state Government.

The new ministry of Roads And Bridges is to be headed by Okojie Nosawe Newton.

Meanwhile, a human rights activist, Kola Edokpayi has described the creation of the new ministry as an act of political cluelessness and ineptitude.

“Governor Godwin Obaseki appoints Commissioner For Road and Bridges in a State where majority of the Roads are not motorable and without a single bridge.

“This is the crescendo of political cluelessness and ineptitude”, Kola Edokpayi said.
