
Fear In Abuja Over Terrorists Massive Campaign Bid To Kidnap President Buhari
Worsening security situation in Nigeria is currently taking a centre stage at the seat of power, as terrorists are reportedly encircling the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja in their bid to carry out their earlier threat on Sunday, to Kidnap President Muhammadu Buhari.
ISWAP-Boko Haram terrorists had on Sunday in a video released where they flogged the Abuja-Kaduna train victims, threatened to Kidnap President Muhammadu Buhari amongst others.
While Nigerians paid attention watching the video and discussing it, the terrorists began action, ambushed the Nigerian Army presidential guards brigade, killing over eight soldiers with over fourteen other still missing.
The soldiers attacked are among the direct body guards responsible for the protection of the President.
The attack was carried out around Bwari area of Abuja.
Since on Sunday, the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari closed than Federal Government College in Kwali area of Abuja and ordered the students to go home immediately due to security reasons according to the Ministry of Education.
This sent more fear to residents in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
To alley the fear, the Nigeria Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba on Tuesday, begged residents to be on same page with the police and other Security agencies in forestalling any possible attack.
“We are not leaving any stone unturned to fortify the Federal Capital Territory and its environs.
“The IGP has ordered for additional deployment of assets to Strategic areas of the FCT while the Force Intelligence Bureau has been charged on robust Intelligence gathering and information sharing amongst other agencies.
“All residents of the FCT are urged to synergise and be on the same page with the Police and other security agencies in making sure that we forestall any ugly incidences in and around the FCT”, the IGP via Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer said.

A socio-political commentator, Reno Omokri, has reacted to the killing of Lt Jauro Ibrahim Suleiman by terrorists in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
DAILY POST recalls that gunmen suspected to be terrorists had attacked some officials of the 7 Guards Battalion of the Nigerian Army Presidential Guards Brigade in Bwari Area Council of the FCT on Monday.
The attack led to the death of some soldiers, including Lt Suleiman, while others were left seriously injured.
Reacting to the development, Omokri, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Tuesday evening, criticised President Muhammadu Buhari over Suleiman’s death.

He tweeted: “Yesterday, Jauro Suleiman, a soldier in Buhari’s Brigade of Guards, died when terrorists ambushed him and his squad in Abuja.
“This morning, General Buhari, the man he died defending, had his bath and travelled to Liberia without even acknowledging Jauro’s sacrifice!”
Meanwhile, President Buhari had early travelled to Monrovia on Tuesday for the country’s 175th independence anniversary.

Army Captain, Samuel Attah was k!lled when terrorists attacked troops of the 7 Guards Battalion of the Nigerian Army Presidential Guards Brigade in Bwari area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
It was gathered that the soldiers were ambushed on Sunday July 24, after they visited the Nigeria Law School in Bwari following a distress call from the authorities of the school.
The school management was said to have alerted that terrorists had dropped a letter indicating an imminent attack on the school.
A sister to the slain soldier, Attachegbe Rita Samuel, said he was only son of their aged parents.
“My pride, my hero, my beloved brother…Hmmm I lack words to express this dream. I can’t believe I am typing this. Rest in a very perfect peace. Captain Attah Samuel.God! God! God! Jesus help my family, my age parents. Ah! Only son! Who shall defend us.” she wrote.
