A photo of the detained leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been seen in Federal High Court, Abuja today, moving freely within the court room without handcuff.
Nnamdi Kanu is being accused by the Government of Nigeria of committing act of treason.
He was rearrested in Kenya in a controversial manner many described by some persons as an act of kidnapping and denial of his fundamental human rights as a freedom fighter who is only agitating for the declaration of the Republic of Biafra.
His rearrest has led to many destruction of lives and properties in the Southeastern part of Nigeria.
Almost all the residents in the southeast of Nigeria have always obeyed the every monday sit-at-home since August 9, 2021 as delcared by angry Igbo youths often refered to as IPOB.
Unknown gunmen suspected to be working for the declaration of the Republic of Biafra have killed alot of persons who failed to obey the sit-at-home order in the southeast. Also the unknown gunmen carried out numbers of well coordinated attacks to kill scores of Nigeria soldiers and police officers since the rearrest of Nnamdi Kanu.
Many said with the rearrest of Nnamdi Kanu and continuous violence and deadly attacks in Nigeria, shows the Biafra agitation leader is a mere freedom fighter, defender of the right to life of his people and may be innocent of the new act of terrorism currently going on in Nigeria since the coming of Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria President in 2015.
