Governor Obaseki Gifts Tony Kabaka Cow, Bags Of Rice For Christmas

Information from the Edo State Government House indicated that the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has brushed aside his political differences and in line with the spirit of love sharing in the Christmas festivity has gifted the state former Chief Tax Collector, Tony Adun well known as Tony Kabaka a full live cow and bags of rice for the Christmas celebration.

Tony Kabaka in a photograph posted by one of the Government House press crew was seen that he received the gift items from the governor this evening at Government House in Benin City.

Tony Kabaka was one of the major political enemies who fought against the Governor in the last concluded Edo State Governorship election held on September 19, 2020.

Tony Kabaka who worked as Youth mobilizer for Godwin Obaseki to become Governor of the state in the first tenure suddenly became a political enemy of the governor after Godwin Obaseki assumed office and put an end to the collection of taxes from motorists and bike riders by the revenue collecting agency, Akugbe Ventures owned and managed by Tony Kabaka.

Governor Godwin Obaseki had demolished a multi million naira hotel built by Tony Kabaka in February 2020 accusing Tony Kabaka of violating the state building laws.

High Court sitting in Benin City ruled in favour of Tony Kabaka and asked the state government to pay damages for the wrongful demolition of the hotel.

Despite victory on his side, Tony Kabaka was seen in a video that gone viral, knelt down to beg his supporters not to celebrate the court victory in order not to provoke Governor Godwin Obaseki, adding, the governor demolished the hotel as a sign of warning to make him take correction from his wrong doings.

Subsequently, Tony Kabaka in another video that went more viral, was seen in a Church, saying, he came to the church in order to be more closer to God so that God Almighty will touch the heart of Governor Godwin Obaseki to build back for him the demolished hotel.
