Ihiala: Buhari Consoles Families Of 2 Policemen Beheaded, Roasted In Orsumoghu

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has consoled with the families of two police men seen in a viral video that were beheaded and roasted in a barbecue manner at Orsumoghu in the Ihiala Local Government area of Anambra state on Tuesday last week by suspected Biafra armed group, unknown gunmen.

President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with the families yesterday in a statement signed by the president spokesperson, Femi Adesina.

According to the President, the two policemen were gruesomely murdered by misguided separatist elements who he said videotaped the bestial killings and proceeded to share it widely on social media.

President Muhammadu Buhari described the killings as horrific and condemns the nature of bloodletting, adding, the killing partern indicates some minds are completely overtaken by hatred and reduced to the basest level imaginable.

“President Muhammadu Buhari sympathizes with families of policemen reportedly murdered in the Southeast by misguided separatist elements, who videotaped the bestial killings, and proceeded to share it widely on social media.

“The President laments the horrific nature of the bloodletting, which indicates that some minds are completely overtaken by hatred, and reduced to the basest level imaginable.

“Noting that the three abducted policemen, two of whom were later brutally executed, were serving the country, and providing security to those who ironically turned against them, President Buhari sends heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, praying for God’s comfort in their deep sorrow.

“He equally sympathizes with all those who have lost loved ones in the different theatres of insecurity that had rocked the country, charging them to take solace in the inevitable victory of good over evil.

“As the areas where insecurity was once fiercest in the country experience some measures of calm now, President Buhari assures that the same would be replicated round the country, and the people would no longer mourn and sorrow from wanton loss of lives”, the President statement reads.

It was gathered that following the continuous killing of soldiers and police men in the Ihiala local government area by unknown gunmen, the Nigeria Police Force may have suspended civil and other criminal matters in the area.

Some residents said when ever they visit the police station to report any case, the police always refers them to vigilantes.

The special squard of the Nigeria Police Force deployed to the area, according to the residents are only concerned about mounting strategic locations to fight with the unknown gunmen.
