Ihiala: I Asked Unknown Gunmen To Kill Me, Leave My Son, They Refused, Killed Him, Took My Hilux Van – Physically Challenged Man

A physically challenged man set free by Unknown Gunmen approached the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ihiala to register his ordeal in the hands of the unknown gunmen who attacked and killed his son yesterday.

It was gathered while the physically challenged man on crutches was writing down statement; tears enveloped the eyes of many at the station.

The 70 years old man said he travelled all the way from Jos, heading to Nnewi when his Hilux vehicle was attacked by Unknown Gunmen at Orsumoghu.

“I begged them to kill me and leave my son but instead, they killed him and asked me to go”, the Physically Challenged Man said.

Sources close to police said the man also stated in the statement that the Unknown Gunmen after killing his son, took away his Hilux vehicle.

The sources said the physically challenged man was supported to the station by good samaritans.
