Thursday may be a day many residents of Anambra and Imo states residing at Ihiala, Isseke, Awo, Orlu and other communities may not forget in a hurry.
It was a day the unknown gunmen suspected to be responsible for the killing of security operatives and destruction of security formations in the eastern states and some parts of south south geopolitical zone in Nigeria came out on a broad day light to engage men of the Nigeria Armed Forces in a gun battle.
OsazuwaAkonedo gathered that the Biafra Armed Force known as Eastern Security Network has announced in advance their intention to carry out the attack at Orlu.
Onlookers said residents and some motorists plying Ihiala-Orlu road were on Thursday panicking and hurridly started locking up their shops most espeacially when men of the Nigerian Army in large numbers mounted a war barricade at the popular Banana round about at Orlu earlier in the day with more than three amored tanks.

Two of the armored tanks were said to be giant which security experts said such tanks are only released by Nigeria military authority when on a full fledge confrontational war with enemies usually at area not densely populated to avoid civilian casualty.
Tanks are known to be used in smashing through and destroying enemeis strongpoints, bunkers, machine-gun posts and artillery emplacements.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra has earlier on Friday posted a photograph indicating the Biafra agitators captured and destroyed one of the giant amored tanks.
Nnamdi Kanu in the post boasted that every tank deployed to Biafra land by the Nigerian Army will be destroyed like in the case of Orlu.
Re-check at the facebook post shows the post has been removed. It could not be ascertained if it was Facebook that removed the post or the author.
OsazuwaAkonedo reports that Facebook in recent time have been removing some posts the social platform considered as spam.

Nigerian Army authority in its news release widely used by almost all the media could not state if the men of the Eastern Security Network penetrated the army war barricade of armored tanks at Banana round about in Orlu.
Video that surfaced the intenet shows the Biafra agitators in a successful shoot out and advanced forward at a place that looked like the Banana round about.
