Magistrate\u2019s Court sitting in Kano state has remanded the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives and All Progressives Congress, APC Lawmaker, Alhaji Ado Doguwa, at a correctional facility over charges of alleged killing and burning to death yet to be ascertained total number of persons with a view to force Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declare fake results in the last Saturday 2023 controversial and tension brewing Presidential and National Assembly elections in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are concerns that people all over the world obviously are yet to hear the wide spread intimidation, oppression and violence that marred the last Saturday 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections in Nigerian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ado Doguwa was taken before Court 58 of the Magistrate\u2019s Court in Nomansland area of the state metropolis Wednesday evening following his arrest at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport late Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The magistrate, Ibrahim Mansur Yola, gave the remand order after the First Information Report was read. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Magistrate Court thereafter adjourned the matter to March 7, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kano State Police spokesperson, SP Haruna Kiyawa said Doguwa was arrested in connection with a suspected case of criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, causing grievous hurt, mischief by fire and inciting disturbance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accordingly, the Police said this followed complaints \u201creceived on the gruesome murder of three persons, causing grievous injury to eight others in Tudun Wada Local Government Area on 26 February 2023 while the collation of election results was ongoing and an alleged viral video of some victims with suspected gunshots in the Social Media.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Police Spokesperson said the Commissioner of Police in charge of 2023 General Election, Kano State Command, CP Muhammad Yakubu directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Kano State Police Command to carry out a thorough investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiyawa said Doguwa was arrested because he refused to honour an invitation extended to him by the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe was subsequently arrested by detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Bompai Kano at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
