Reno Omokri, former presidential spokesperson to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on New Media, has described President Muhammadu Buhari valedictory nationwide broadcast on Sunday as a provocative and blatant lie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on May 29, 2015 handed over the control and management of the affairs of Nigeria to President Muhammadu Buhari whose tenure ends tomorrow, Monday May 29, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reno Omokri in a comparative analysis of the reality of Nigeria economic, security and other social situations between 2015 Muhammadu Buhari became Nigeria President and 2023 he’s leaving, observed and stated that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan handed over $509.9 billion Gross Domestic Product, GDP growth, only Boko Haram as National security challenge and Naira to Dollar exchange rate of \u20a6199 to 1$ to President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that, the current government has only made things worst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Reno Omokri, Nigeria current GDP has dropped to $450 billion, Naira has been devalued to \u20a6750 to $1, while security challenges have worsened from only Boko Haram in 2015 to additions of Bandits, unknown gunmen amongst others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“On May 29, 2015, when President Goodluck Jonathan handed over the Presidency of Nigeria to General Buhari, the nation’s Gross Domestic Product was $509.9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Please do not take my word for it. Verify it by yourself. In 2023, as General Buhari prepares to hand over the Presidency to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, our Gross Domestic Product is an estimated $450 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“From the above, General Buhari’s statement in his so-called farewell broadcast to the nation, in which he said, \u201cI am confident that I am leaving office with Nigeria better in 2023 than in 2015”, is a very provocative and blatant lie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In 2015, we only had a national security threat from Boko Haram. Today, we have national existential threats from Boko Haram, bandits; and unknown gunmen, amongst others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In 2015, the Naira was \u20a6199 to $1. Today, it is \u20a6750 to $1. In 2015, our total foreign debt was $10.7 billion. Today, it is almost $50 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In 2015, Nigeria was 136 in Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index. In 2023, we are 150.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“So, precisely in what area of our national life has Buhari made ‘Nigeria better in 2023 than in 2015’?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The only thing we can now say to General Buhari is that you were a mistake, and may you go and may your like NEVER return to power to afflict us again. In Yeshua’s Name, I pray”, Reno Omokri stated in quote.<\/p>\n
