His Royal Highness, Muhammad Sanusi II has accused politicians of destroying the Emirate system in the Northern Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi II stated this on Friday while speaking after he was reinstated and reinstalled as the 16th Emir of the Kano Emirate following the the State House of Assembly and the State Government ascent for the abolishment of the laws that created additional Emirs in the state also upon which the Emir was dethroned four years ago under the immediate past governor of\u00a0 the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sanusi stated that politicians balkanised the emirates in northern Nigeria, “with a state with one Emir now becoming 20 and some 19.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also commended Governor Abba Yusuf and members of the House of Assembly for \u201csummoning courage\u201d in saving Kano State and Nigeria through his reinstatement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said his reinstatement was a testament that no man could take away whatever God had given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The emir spoke shortly after receiving his reinstatement letter from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Africa House, Kano Government House, on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, \u201cThe Arabians used to say in everything that we are going to witness, there is a lesson that shows us that God is there. Whatever that is happening to an individual is preordained by Allah and to those that are sensible enough, it\u2019s a lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGod is one and whatever He does, nobody can change and what He doesn\u2019t do, nobody can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAbout 10 years ago, in this same place, former Governor Musa Kwankwaso gave me my appointment letter as the Emir of Kano. Today, after 10 years, I am here again receiving reappointment letter by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTime will not permit for long talks. Whatever we will say, we have said it when we were leaving. We made it clear that God has preordained time and cause for everything and everyone. He gave leadership to whom he wants and at the time he wants. When He gives, no one can take it away and when he takes it away, nobody can take it back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy Governor and our assembly members, you will not understand the gravity of what you did for the history of Kano and the country at large. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Among Kano Emirs, it started from Bagauda over 1000 years ago. In this year\u2019s, it was once that we had Emir Muhammadu Koguna who was overthrown and he came back after some days. This shows that in 1000 years, there has been no case like what happened now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the northern part of this country, we have seen it in different states how politicians balkanised emirates with a state with one Emir becoming 20, some 19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In states of northern Nigeria, there are Local Governments with two or three first class Emirs all because the system has been destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis thing that has been brought to Kano, had it been it was allowed, one day we will wake up with Emir of Kumbotso, Bichi, Fagge and 44 Emirs. So what the government and the assembly (did) is a rescue mission.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video posted online showed the reinstated Emir has entered the Kano Emirate Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video showed the Emir was received by a very large of crowd of people who were seen screaming with joy and jubilation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Emir came out from the upper floor of the roofed varanda or balcony to wave at the jubilant crowds.<\/p>\n
