Tipper truck with its bucket filled with sand rammed into two commercial buses along Sakponba road in Benin City killing over 9 persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accident occurred early this morning according to eye witnesses’ account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would be recalled on August 22, 2017, a tipper truck driver on same road rammed into commercial bus by Oka Market area killing 9 persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photographs posted by residents in Benin shows the accident occurred about 7:30 a.m today around Bureau De Change quarters well known as Erie by Ogbelaka junction along Sakponba road in the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the eye witnesses said the tipper truck driver was trying to overtake another truck when the vehicle rammed into the commercial buses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Others said the truck and the commercial vehicles were on speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tribune newspaper quoted the Edo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, Bello Kontongs, the police saying, only 4 persons died, that the truck coming from Upper Sakponba road lost control and ran into a white bus, killing 3 persons at the spot while one died on the way to the hospital. Adding, other injured victims have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
