Insecurity In Imo Is A Political War Against My Government – Hope Uzodimma
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has described the insecurity in the state as a political war waged against his government.
Hope Uzodimma made the description during his Easter message on Sunday at Saint Rose Catholic Parish, Omuma, his country home in Imo state.
His words:
Against the backdrop of the political war waged against my administration and the good people of Imo State by these political detractors, we have sustained our developmental drive across the State.
The duty of securing Imo State has remained a progressive one under our leadership. For us to completely stamp out the pockets of banditry at some flashpoints in the State would require the collaboration of our people.
We cannot stop praying for a renewed, patriotic and compassionate heart for those sponsoring insecurity against the people of imo State in the name of politics.
The attack on lives and the destruction of properties in Imo State will continue to be tackled by the resilience of our security agents. Our cautious approach should not in any way be mistaken for weakness.
Be assured that my administration shall not relent in the fight against insecurity and we shall stop at nothing to restore peace to our State.
I bring home a message of hope, an assurance of peace and a confirmation of infrastructural development to residents and the good people of Imo State.
We remain focused in our obligation of infrastructural development; economic growth and security of lives and properties. One thing I assure is that I shall not be tempted to tow the part of carelessness in the actualization of these.
From system modification to institution growth; from infrastructural development to economic growth, my administration has continued to recover Imo State from the hands of those who had confiscated the State and her assets.
We shall stop at nothing in that regard for the State belongs to all and not to a few.
