Goodluck Ebele Jonathan made the reaction through his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze when group of cattle breeders used his name to obviously support the APC 2023 presidential election agenda by thus purchasing the party nomination and expression of interest form for the former President who is a member and leader of the opposition political party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
OsazuwaAkonedo reports that the APC 100 million naira form is not only a way of creating publicity for the party ahead of the election, but, an indirect avenue where money are being sourced and raised from people who ordinary wouldn’t come out directly to show the party support to avoid being a guest with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC after President Muhammadu Buhari tenure expired come May 2023.
It would be recalled that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was blackmailed out of power in 2015 through a well organized conspiracy and gang up against him.
OsazuwaAkonedo believes if proper investigation is being carried out, many private groups are being sponsored and financed by some persons in government who cannot prove their source of wealth.
We gathered that the government officials do condition the private groups to use any prominent name of persons in Nigeria that looks unbelievable and controversial to purchase the APC 100 million naira form as a way of showing support and financing the campaign of the party who may soon end up and announced its preferred a consensus candidate in the forthcoming election.
According to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, buying APC form with his name is an insult to his person.

“We wish to categorically state that Dr. Jonathan was not aware of this bid and did not authorize it.
“We want to state that if the former President wanted to contest an election, he would make his intentions clear to the public and will not enter through the back door.
“While we appreciate the overwhelming request by a cross-section of Nigerians, for Dr. Jonathan to make himself available for the 2023 Presidential election, we wish to state, that he has not in any way, committed himself to this request.
“Buying a presidential aspiration form in the name Dr. Jonathan without his consent, knowing the position he had held in this country, is considered an insult to his person.
“The general public is therefore advised to disregard it,” Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said on Monday.
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Jonathan, who joined the now-opposition Peoples Democratic Party in 1998 and went on to be elected deputy governor, governor, vice-president and president on the party’s platform, has yet to formally announce his membership of the ruling party, although recent speculations suggest he has been nursing that ambition.
