
Mohbad: Court Grants Naira Marley, Sam Larry ₦20m Bail
Magistrate’s Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, has granted singer, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, well known as Sam Larry bail in the sum of ₦20 million following their arrests and subsequent detention by men of the Nigeria Police Force over the death of young upcoming artiste, Ilerioluwa Aloba known as Mohbad.
The Court ruled that they will also present three responsible sureties and reporting to the police station every week.
Naira Marley, Sam Larry and two others were, on October 6, arraigned and remanded over circumstances surrounding the death of Mohbad.
The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun told the defendants to submit their passports and ordered them to report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti.
Olatunbosun said in her ruling that: “As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”
She also warned that no one should contact her directly on the case. She cautioned: “Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.”
