Monarch Receives Decomposing Bodies Of Wives, Children Killed By Kidnappers
Decomposing bodies of the two kidnapped wives and five children of the traditional ruler of Mutumbiyu community in Taraba State, Justice Sani Muhammed, have been found.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Abdullahi Usman, in a statement on Saturday, February 4, said one of the children escaped and he’s currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
Adding, the victims’ bodies were found in Daka village, a neighbourhood of the Bali Local Government Area in the early hours of Saturday.
The monarch in a separate message said the wives and children were brutally killed, adding that they would be buried at Mutumbiyu.
“The bodies of the members of my family killed by the kidnappers were found and will be brought to Mutumbiyu for burial”, he said.
The monarch explained that among the eight kidnapped, a 14-year-old boy escaped from the kidnappers two days ago and was brought to the palace
It would be recalled that the suspected kidnappers invaded the monarch’s residence in Jalingo on January 19, 2023 and whisked away several people including the Monarch’s family.
The Monarch had stated that eight of his family members were abducted by the suspected kidnappers.
