Apprehension In Benue As Residents Await Details Of Governor Ortom Murder Attempt #OsazuwaAkonedo

Residents of Benue have began to throw questions to officials of Benue State Television to give details how the State Governor Samuel Orthom convoy was attacked by Fulani militias early hours of today as reported by the television.

Benue Television in few hours ago broke the news that the state Governor, Samuel Orthom was attacked by Fulani gunmen around Tyo-Mu community along Makurdi road this morning.

Benue Television promised to give details of the attack which for the past two hours is yet to satisfy the curiosity of Benue residents as many media flashed the news with no one unable to give account of the attack which Fulani herdsmen were reportedly responsible.

Some of the national media reported that Governor Samuel Ortom is in shock over the attack but promised to brief the press soon.

This angered cross section of many residents of Benue state, sending reactive comments on why Nigerian Journalists should depend on governor’s briefing to report an incident.

Some of the residents said the Governor have press team selected from various local and national media who should report the incident independently.
