Nigeria Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has said he feel honoured to decorate the newly appointed acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
Professor Yemi Osinbajo stated this few hours ago at State House, Abuja after decorating Usman Alkali Baba as the new acting Inspector General of Police.
Professor Yemi Osinbajo who looks happy in his words said in quote:
“Congratulations to the new Acting Inspector General of the Nigerian Police Force, Usman Alkali Baba, who I had the honour of decorating earlier today.
“The safety and protection of all Nigerians remains a priority of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration”.
President Muhammadu Buhari had left Nigeria for London for more than a week ago for routine medical check up.
Many argued that President Muhammadu Buhari should have transmitted power to the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo to act on his behalf as acting President but the Presidency through the office of Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu said President Muhammadu Buhari can perform his duties from sick bed.
