According to Anambra Broadcasting Service, the Public Accounts Committee of the Federal House of Representatives issued a twenty-four-hour summon to the Anambra State Cordinator of the National Social Investment Programme, N.S.I.P, Mrs Chinwe Iwuchukwu, to answer questions bordering on accountability and budgetary anomalies.

The committee, which is currently in Anambra state to carry out a three-day programme performance oversight on federal institutions in Anambra State, with respect to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND projects executed by the institutions, said that there were critical questions arising from the expenditure of N.S.I.P in Anambra State, including lack of documentary proof on the number of schools and women that benefit from the programme.

The chairman of the committee and member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, Honourable Ifeanyi Chudy Momah said with the huge budget allocated to the programme by the federal government, the way and manner the money is being spent is questionable.
Honourable Momah said the Cordinator must appear before the committee to allay some suspicions; including the schools benefiting from the feeding programme and the women cooks under employment.
The National Social Investment Program of Nigeria is a social welfare initiative created by the Federal government of Nigeria in 2015 under the supervision of the National Social Investment Office.
