Obaseki’s Certificate: And The Damage Continue

It is no longer news that the Court of Law has added Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to the number of people that have ruined their political and professional career over Governor Godwin Obaseki academic certificate.

The High Court sitting in Benin City yesterday declared that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu running mate, Gani Audu who was former Estako West local government chairman presented false and forged certificate.

This, the court nullified the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Gani Audu as All Progressive Congress flag bearer in the just concluded Edo Gubernatorial election.

This is coming soon after Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu campaign media Director, John Mayaki came out publicly that he also forged and made false statements, obviously he told lies during the campaign period.

He made the confession as a way to appeal to INEC REC, Mike Igini amongst others to forgive him and drop the N1 billion suit against him for lying against Obaseki and the INEC REC during the campaign period.

John Mayaki was formerly Governor Godwin Obaseki chief press secretary.

He resigned from Obaseki government when things went wrong between Obaseki and Adams Oshiomhole.

Thereafter, John Mayaki traveled out of the country.

Information reaching us indicate that John Mayaki was invited from foreign country to head Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu media campaign team.

It was learnt, immediately John Mayaki held meeting with the APC media team, he complained about the professional level of members of the media team.

In his apology letter, John Mayaki noted that he was wrongly informed obviously by the APC media team.

This caused him severe damage of gross unprofessional conduct and defamation of character to the persons of Godwin Obaseki, INEC REC, Mike Igini amongst others.

By and large, John Mayaki launched extensive media campaign against Obaseki with special focus on Godwin Obaseki academic certificate.

This was an attempt for the former employee of Obaseki to ruin or damage his principal’s political and professional career.

Things boomeranged. John Mayaki ended up destroying and ruining his own political and professional career.

Today, everybody now know John Mayaki as a certified true liar who is only good for those who wished to be misled.

Before now, Adams Oshiomhole, the first victim of Obaseki Certificate, by chance of being APC national Chairman disqualified Governor Godwin Obaseki from the governorship race.

Oshiomhole insisted that Governor Godwin Obaseki presented false and forged certificate.

Obaseki seemingly in mood of unpronounced tears, went to the presidency, President Muhammadu Buhari locked the door.

Obaseki resorted to press briefing at State House, Abuja after failing to see the President in person.

God so kind, almost same day, the troubler became troubled.

Adams Oshiomhole was sacked and thrown out as APC national chairman by Appeal Court.

Obaseki settled for PDP and was reelected as Governor of Edo state for second term.

Since Obaseki reelection, Adams Oshiomhole political career died and his usual appearance in the political space remain unnoticed.

Though, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu insisted and refused to go to court over the outcome of the governorship election that declared Godwin Obaseki winner, but many believed Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is the sponsor of the litigation challenging Godwin Obaseki certificate in the court.

This irked a concern citizen to approach High Court in Benin to challenge the academic certificate of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu running mate, Gani Audu.

And the court ruling yesterday has made the troubler to become troubled.
