
Edo To Hold Press Conference On Fulani Herdsmen As More Kidnapped Victims Found Dead In Ugo
Following the killing of a yet to be ascertained numbers of farmers on Saturday by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Ugo village, Edo indigenes home and abroad will hold press conference tomorrow.
It would be recalled some farmers on Saturday were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Ugo village in Orhionmwon local government area of Edo state.
Two of the dead bodies were recovered by men of the Nigerian Army at the weekend.
Continuous search for the missing farmers by the locals paved way for the discovery of more dead bodies in the forest.
This morning, one of the kidnapped victims were found lifeless in the forest.
In a statement signed by Kola Edokpayi with several expression of interest, the press conference will be held at Youths House along Akpakpava road, Benin City by 2pm.
The Edo youths in their expression of interests warned APC and other political parties in the state to give the issue of killer Fulani herdsmen a priority attention above any political activities in the state.

“This is to invite Edo people, sons and daughters of Orhionmwon Local Government Area and its environ to a World Press Conference to address the fiendish and monstrous activities of Fulani herdsmen vis a vis the barbaric attack on the good people of Ugo Village in their farms allegedly perpetrated by Fulani Herdsmen.
“It is on record that our mothers have been raped, our fathers have been maliciously attacked and our farmers have been deprived of going to their farms in our dear State.
“Date for the press conference is the 3rd day February, 2021.
“Time: 2 PM.
“Venue : Youth Council, Akpakpava Road.
“We call on all Edo people including our brothers and sisters in Diaspora to support this move to liberate our people.
“Enough is enough, we cannot be treated as slaves in our land”, the statement reads.
