Referring to the frequent killings resulting to over 20 thousand deaths since 2015 by suspected Fulani ethnic group as a mere criminal act like any other crime in the country is to say the obvious we are deceiving ourselves.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State yesterday made suspicious statement simply and indirectly justifying and compared advanced fee fraud and armed robbery he said it’s associated with southerners to the numerous raping, kidnapping and killing of other ethnic groups from core North to the middle belt and now to the South South, Southwest and Southeastern part of the country by Fulani armed gang or subjugators.
Nasir El-Rufai made the statement while in audience with leaders of the Anglican Communion in Nigeria led by Reverend Henry Ndukuba.
El-Rufai, according to the Nations newspaper said thus: “There was a time in the history of this country when armed robbery was the exclusive preserve of people of a certain part of the country but they were never profiled as X’ armed robbers”
To help El-Rufai out in the foregoing statement, Anini and many other publicly well known armed robbers in the southern part of the country were rightly refer to as criminal gang with no ethnic colouration because their victims were not selective.
Lawrence Anini and other armed robbers in the southern Nigeria killed and robbed mainly people of their own ethnic group. Their activities were never targeted at Fulani. Unlike the Fulani armed groups or conquerors that protect Fulani and destroy the lives and properties of other ethnic groups.
El-Rufai added thus: “Advance Fee Fraud is also unique to some parts of the country but their ethnicity is never tagged when calling them Yahoo boys”
Advanced fee fraud by people in the south but not peculiar to southerners is not a selective crime targeted at Fulani or any ethnic group hence the southern ethnicity cannot be tagged.
Every tribe is an actor and a victim of Advanced fee fraud.
To bring to El-Rufai knowledge, the whole of Nigeria as a nation not even one ethnic group is already tagged as 419 or internet fraudsters by foreigners mostly in developed countries.
Many Nigerians including Fulanis as a result of poverty do mainly resort to advance fee fraud mostly having greedy white men as victims.
Foreigners are mostly the targeted victims by Nigeria fraudsters. This is why Former President Olusegun Obasanjo set up Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to help redeem Nigeria image.
President Muhammadu Buhari, a Fulani man is possibly correct to be regarded as Nigeria commander in chief of Yahoo Yahoo. Yahoo Yahoo is anything corruption. Anything obtained by false pretence.
Buhari has turned EFCC to presidential tooth brush that cleans off any one who tries to show the public how yahoo yahoo the Fulani man is.
Buhari like any other Yahoo Yahoo man takes advantage of the problems of the people and promise them heaven and earth and at the end Nigerians are yearly been defrauded like never before by Muhammadu Buhari.
From less than N200 to a dollar in 2015, Buhari promised to make one naira equal to one dollar, and the people with open eye like any other yahoo yahoo victim gave him their wealth thus making him their president. Today, are Nigerians not defrauded. One dollar is now sold at four hundred and eighty naira.
Fulanis are the biggest yahoo yahoo defrauding Nigerians unlike the southerners defrauding foreigners who are perceived doing yahoo yahoo business with our natural resources in Nigeria.
The Fulani raping, kidnapping and killing people of other ethnic group maybe rightly considered as a display of warrior might to take over a targeted non Fulani man’s land and property.
The gang as widely reported is made up of one ethnic ideology, protecting and promoting Fulani caliphate and thus trying to conquer more territories in the south.
So it may not be wrong to refer to Fulani armed gang as non criminal but ethnic warriors trying to conquer every territory in Nigeria.
Back to El-Rufai, he said: “I think in the same manner, we should be very careful in assuming that every herdsman is a criminal or every Fulani is a herdsman or every
herdsman is a killer”.
He said banditry had become an industry in Nigeria.
“The informants, those that supply them food and drugs, live within us. The bandits may not live within us, many of them live in the forests,
but their logistics chain consists of people that live with us.
“They are the ones that identify those to be kidnapped because kidnappers target people in their homes.”
The last statement shows that uptill now Governor El-Rufai is behaving as if he’s not aware that an America based Nigerian, Dennis Abuda was ambushed, kidnapped and killed by suspected Fulani on his way to Lagos on Saturday to catch his flight back to America.
That, farmers at Ugo village in Orhionmwon local government area of Edo state on Saturday were kidnapped and killed by suspected Fulani in the forest.
To say the lest, many southerners are being raped and killed in their farmland by Fulani almost on weekly basis.
Yes, the informants and those that supply them food, drugs and logistics are living within us.
This is why the southerners want all the Fulani whether herder or non herder to leave the bush and rent accommodation in the residential area so that the locals can be able to monitor and know those aiding the Fulani armed gang or conquerors.
Comparing crime to justify another crime is evil. The comparison can only come from people who do not mean well for the people.
A recent picture of the Fulani ethnic gang with Cleric Abubakar Gumi saw many of them well armed with machine guns with several round of bullet chains.
What comes to mind is that the Niger Delta Militants are thesame.
But, the Niger Delta Militants were widely accepted for fighting for their own right.
The land that produce the nation’s wealth ought to be given top priority attention.
The Niger Delta Militants never targeted any ethnic group. The militants focus was on oil installation and multinational oil companies who were considered milking the peoples wealth and leaving them to suffer more hardship.
Fulani agitators what are they fighting for. In 2015 alone, over 800 deaths were reported in Fulani armed gang fight with indigenes over land disputes.
More than 200 people were killed in Agatu in Benue State and Nimbo community in Enugu State among other communities in 2016 in Fulani war with the indigenes.
Another 200 people were slaughtered to death in Plateau state in 2018 in Fulani war with indigenes over land disputes.
Adara village in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state in 2019 saw more than 300 people killed in war between Fulani and the indigenes over Fulani quest for pasture land.
To start, the list is endless of the atrocities of the Fulani ethnic armed group deceptively referred to as armed bandits.
