Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki has said his aim is to ensure that members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP must win all seats in the forthcoming parliamentary election into the Edo State House of Assembly, National Assembly and the Presidency.
Governor Godwin Obaseki stated this on Wednesday when he hosted and met with over 162 aspirants of PDP members seeking to be elected as honourable members into the state House of Assembly.
According to Godwin Obaseki, he has no preferred candidate and he would be neutral during the party primary election but he’s aim is to ensure that who ever makes it to be candidate of the PDP after the primary election, must win the Assembly election.
“Yesterday, I met with the 162 aspirants of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the Edo State House of Assembly, EDHA, urging them to deemphasize money politics and shun bitterness.
“I want to stay neutral in the build up to the coming primary election despite the several calls I have received.
“Every aspirant is my own; the PDP is one and my goal is that the PDP must win at all levels – the State and National Assemblies, and the Presidency”.
