My Name Was Never Added As Accomplice, Media Reports Fake, Untrue – Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the chief coordinating lawyer to the detained Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has refuted media reports which suggested that his name and other defending lawyer were included in the new six counts amended charges filled against the Biafra leader by the Federal Government today.
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor stated this few hours ago in a rejoinder he issued to clarify earlier media reports (OsazuwaAkonedo not included) that named him and Barrister Maxwell Okpara as accomplices on the new six counts charge that were also stroke out by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday.
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor said:
REJOINDER:
Kindly ignore publications emanating from Nigeria brown envelope Newspapers, both online and print media suggesting that my name and that of Barrister Maxwell Okpara were included in the Six count amended charge as accomplices .
It is FAKE, UNTRUE and should be completely discountenanced.
Our names were merely listed among his contact persons and not as accomplices.
As ONYENDU’s Attorneys, we should be in a position to be contacted in his matters or briefs we are handling for him.
For the record, the Six Count Amended charge filed yesterday by the Federal Government on ONYENDU’s case was equally struck out this morning.
His Lordship also insisted that there must be an end to amendment.
We are winning and foreword ever, backward never.
