Major Stephen Christopher Datong, soldier kidnapped by bandits yesterday inside the Nigerian Army Defence Academy at Afaka, Kaduna state has been found lifeless.
Residents reported that body of the soldier was found in the evenning yesterday after the terrorist group demanded 200 million naira ransom for his release.
It was gathered that Christopher hails from Chip in Pankshin local government area of Plateau State and aged 43 years before the unfortunate incident yesterday.
It would be recalled Nigerian Army authority yesterday confirmed the killing of two soldiers and the kidnapping of another personnel by people the Army described as unknown gunmen.
Nigerian Army in a statement signed by Major Bashir Muhd Jajira, the Defence Academy Public Relations officer, the security architecture of the Nigerian Defence Academy was compromised early this morning by unknown gunmen who gained access into the residential area within the Academy in Afaka and during which two personnel were killed and one was abducted.
