Obi-tuary: What Sam Omatseye Wrote, A Complete Rubbish, But… – Deji

Political rights activist, Adeyanju Deji has described as rubbish, the controversial commentary entitled “Obi-tuary” written against the person of Peter Obi, the labour Party presidential candidate for the forthcoming 2023 general election by the Editorial Board Chairman of the Nation Newspaper, Sam Omatseye.

Sam Omatseye had alleged threat to life from people he suspected to be supporters of Peter Obi after the publication went viral on social media platforms since Monday.

According to Deji, what Sam Omatseye Wrote about Peter Obi is a complete rubbish but that should not warrant threat to his life or bullying of any kind.

“What Sam wrote is complete rubbish but that does not warrant threats or bullying of any kind which is why, may Obedients not happen to Nigeria”, Deji said.

It would be recalled that Nigerians have continued to react to the ambiguous word “Obi-tuary” used as title for the article written by the Editorial Board Chairman of the Nation Newspaper on his own column page, “In Touch” in the Nation Newspaper of August 1, 2022 edition.
