
Ongoing Military War Campaign: Nigerian Army Says ISWAP-Boko Haram Terrorists Flee, Abandons Camps, Gun Trucks
Nigerian Army authority has said members of the Islamic terrorists group known as ISWAP and Boko Haram insurgents fled and abandoned their camps and gun trucks with other weapons following the clearance operations in the military war campaign currently ongoing in the Northeastern region of Nigeria.
The Nigerian Army authority in series of messages accompanied with photographs made available by the Army Public Relations unit indicated that the troops of the Nigerian Army this evening on fighting patrol ambushed and killed unspecified numbers of ISWAP-Boko Haram terrorists around Mallumti in Borno State.
“BREAKING: Gallant troops of 109 Strike Force Battalion in Magumeri, Borno State on fighting patrol and night ambush towards Mallumti this evening infiltrated BHT/ISWAP location. Troops neutralized insurgents, recovered weapons and a vehicle. Further exploitation still ongoing”, Nigerian Army said.

The army authority had earlier made available a news release yesterday indicating that Troops of 5 Brigade on fighting patrol to BokoHaram/ISWAP enclave in Douro near Damasak in Borno State on Saturday 29 January 22 infiltrated the terrorists location. “During the attack, terrorists fled in disarray, abandoning their gun trucks and weapons. Aggressive patrols are currently ongoing”, the army said
Continuing, Nigerian Army said troops of 25 Task Force Brigade Damboa, Borno State in conjunction with members of civilian JTF during a clearance operation today 30 January 2022 destroyed another BokoHaram/ISWAP camp at Bala Maduri in the state with the camp burnt down and several equipment recovered.
