Dr. Emeka Kalu, the Director General, 2019 Atikulated Agenda for the former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has called on all Nigerians to brush outside their differences irrespective of tribes, political affiliation and unite to bring to an end the social-economic woes bedeviling the country.
Chief Kalu stated this in a release made available to newsmen at the weekend.
“The clarion call to collectively get Nigeria working again is such that we must all unite as a people to ensure that we bring Nigeria back on the path of progress through our genuine actions as Patriots.
“The present state of the nation is so precarious that we must look within ourselves to find a lasting solution to our problems because there’s no human problem that doesn’t have solutions.
“The only difference is the resolve to solve those problems or allow them to linger and take more toll on us.
“Let us for once own up to the fact that we have not fared well so far as a nation and must take practical action to change the narrative for the sake of posterity”,said Kalu
Chief Emeka kalu as member of RESET NIGERIA GROUP from Southeast have maintained his position that one of the first solution to Nigeria myriad of problems is to unite Nigeria as one indivisible entity and not on ethnic, religious and political lines.
“These have been our bane as a people.
“The Reset Nigeria Group as a pressure group with mandate to finding practical solutions to our problems is poised to work out modalities to get Nigeria working again by harnessing the collective resolve of many yearning for the right atmosphere to get Nigeria to its very best.
“This is a resolve that requires the tenacity of people with love for fatherland, we must be that people.
“I am calling on Nigerians to understand the inevitability of scouting for a person that can bring the country together on the path of good governance and accountability because we are so much divided at the moment.
“It is very obvious now that the ethnic and religious cards have not helped us as a nation but only helped few people to feed fat at the expense of the masses
“This is a precedence that should worry every patriotic Nigerian and motivate them to join the cause to RESET NIGERIA for the good of all”, he said.
Speaking in a press conference on Thursday, Chief Kalu said that it is important we insist on a person that has that capacity to lead Nigeria, irrespective of where the individual in terms of party affiliation.
“Nigeria must be driven by someone with ethical and moral principles that respect the Rule of Law to be able to make this a go.
“This group is open to Nigerians with like minds that wants to see the country we call ours move forward.
“This is another opportunity to register our solidarity for a progressive nation of our dream, we must all work hard to demand this by shunning all those sentiments that had so much brought us down on our knees all these while”.
