
Police Arrests Timaya Over Attempt To Kill
Inetimi Timaya Odon well known as Timaya, a Nigerian music star who came into limelight for musically documenting the Military invasion and destruction of lives and properties at his own community, Odi in Bayelsa State on November 20, 1999 during the regime of President Olusegun Obasanjo has been arrested today by men of the Nigeria Police Force over alleged attempt to kill a young lady who confronted him for damaging her car.
Timaya was accused of using his vehicle to rammed into the young lady and dragged the young lady on the road until the young lady could no longer hold grip of the vehicle and thereby fell off.
A video of the victim in the hospital shows some cuts on her head, kneels and other body parts with blood stain visible, and some part of her body bandaged.
Instagram user, Osinubi Omowumi who identified herself as an eye witness to the attempted murder, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, posted a video on her Instagram account and narrated how Timaya rammed his vehicle on her sister and continued moving the vehicle even when the body of her sister was scrubbing on the road with blood gushing out.
She said her sister confronted Timaya for damaging her car and hold grip of the music star vehicle and the music star noticing her confrontation, drove off, not minding the grip on his car by her sister.
A video today shows some team of police men invaded Timaya Lekki resident in Lagos State and arrested the music star.
The police is yet to officially state the reason for the arrest of the music star.
But in the video, Timaya was seen explaining to the officers what could have transpired during the alleged attempted murder.
