Police Inviting Me Will Seriously Damage Sylvester Oromoni’s Case, Kemi Dares Falana
Acclaimed United States of America trained Investigative Journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has put up a threat that if the Nigeria Police Force invited her to account for her questionable statement over the death of Dowen College student in Lagos State, Sylvester Oromoni as demanded and petitioned against her by Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana, the case will be seriously damaged.
Kemi Olunloyo made the threat known few minutes ago.
Femi Falana had petitioned the Nigeria Police Force to invite the acclaimed Investigative Journalist, Kemi Olunloyo to account for the allegation she made against the deceased, Slyvester Oromoni that the deceased allegedly submitted self for hazing or initiation process that led to his death.
“Inviting me will seriously DAMAGE Sylvester Oromoni’s case.
“I’m an independent journalist. Get that into your head Falana.
“Let the cops do their investigation and I do mine. Can you petition police to invite BBC or CNN? Your ignorance does not excuse stupidity. Serve us petition”, Kemi Olunloyo said.
Kemi added that no US human rights lawyer will petition the police to question a journalist.
“Dear Mr Falana, we have no petition signed by you asking the police to invite me for questioning. Please stop lying to the public. No US human rights lawyer petitions the police to question a journalist. Journalists protect the source. I cannot mention names and will plead the 5th”, she said.
