
Police Kills One Suspected Assassin Behind Apostle Johnson Suleman Attack
Men of the Nigeria Police Force have killed one of the suspected assassins that attacked the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman, killing seven of his security and civilian aides along Warake road in Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
A video posted with voice over by a man who identified himself as members of the police team that led offensive operation against the attackers, indicated that the suspected assassins engaged the policemen in a gun battle which led to the killing of one of the suspects at the spot.
The man in the video described the attackers as kidnappers.
A statement that did not go down well with Apostle Johnson Suleman, who refuted the statement via a tweet. Apostle Johnson Suleman said those who attacked him were assassins and not kidnappers as claimed by the man in the video who identified as himself as a police officer.
It was gathered that the team of Police men confronted the suspected assassins at Ivbiaro community, in Owan East Local government area of Edo State.
According to the man in the video, other gang members escaped with bullet wounds.
Adding, the police is already curbing the bush to get the other suspects arrested.
A report from Auchi on Friday night indicated that, thousands of people thronged the police Divisional Headquarters when the news that one of the suspected assassins has been arrested.
