
Residents Accuse Ebubeagu Of Killing 14 Innocent People In Imo
Ebubeagu Security Operatives are now largely accused in the Killings of innocent people in Imo state.
Over 14 young men were seen in a video killed allegedly by Operatives of the Ebubeagu Security outfit on Sunday at Awo Omama community in the Oru East local government area of Imo State.
Prior to the Sunday killings, residents have alleged constant harassment of Awo Omama community young men by the Ebubeagu Security Operatives.
Some residents who spoke on the condition of anonymity, narrated how men of the Ebubeagu moved into Awo Omama two weeks ago, and arrested all the boys seen in the community until the four Hilux vehicles they came with, became filled up.
According to the residents, when the Ebubeagu Security Operatives arrived the special military checkpoint along the Onitsha-Owerri road, the soldiers stopped the Ebubeagu convoy, interrogated all the suspects and set all of them free because there was nothing against them.

There was anger in Imo State on Monday after news filtered in that gunmen suspected to be operatives of Ebubeagu Security outfit allegedly killed wedding guests in Awomama, Oru West Local Government Area of the state.
Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened on Sunday while the victims were returning to their village in Otulu in Oru East Local Government Area before the gunmen opened fire on them.
The President General of Otulu community, Nnamdi Agbor, told newsmen that seven persons died on the spot while others were missing.
The community leader confirmed that the victims were on their way home when the gunmen opened fire on them.
He said, “As they were going home Ebubeagu operatives saw them in motorcycles and opened fire on them. As I speak to you, we have recovered seven dead bodies who are our people.
“The monarch said that five are missing, while two are critically injuried.”
He said that the Commissioner of Police and the commander of the 34 artillery Brigade Command Obinze have visited the area.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Mike Abattam, confirmed the incident.
