Russia President, Vladimir Putin has described European countries and America sanctions on Russia as an act equivalent to the declaration of war.
Vladimir Putin spoke through the state owned broadcast station as monitored and translated by SkyNews.
In the broadcast, Putin spoke with female flight attendants.
According to Vladimir Putin, the sanctions on Russia is equivalent to declaring war but thankfully the situation has not come to an actual war.
“These sanctions that you can see are equivalent to declaring a war – but thankfully it has not come to an actual war but we understand what these threats are about.”, Putin said.
Putin said he would consider country that placed no-fly zone on Russia as enemy in war with the country.
Putin insisted that his action on Ukraine is to protect the Russia speakers in the country.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov had earlier on Saturday accused Western countries of acting and engaging in economic banditry against Russia, insisting, Russia will respond.
“The world is too big for Europe and America to isolate a country, and even more so a country as big as Russia.
“There are many more countries in the world”, Kremlin spokesperson said.
Kremlin said if the US imposed sanctions on Russia’s energy exports then it would deliver a considerable jolt to energy markets.
