Simon Ekpa Declares 2 Days Sit-at-home
One of the factional leaders of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Simon Ekpa has declared Monday January 23rd to Tuesday 24th as Sit-at-home days in the Eastern region if the detained and legally freed IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not released unconditionally by the Department of State Services, DSS, coming Sunday January 22, 2023.
According to Simon Ekpa, the sit-at-home will only hold if the DSS refused to release Nnamdi Kanu because of his failing health condition.
Simon Ekpa who made the announcement known few hours ago via his social media accounts had once declared five days sit-at-home, precisely last month December, 2022 which was considered the bloodiest large killing of defenceless innocent civilians in the history of the secessionist armed struggle since the agitation for the creation of Biafra Republic began.
Alot of traders were killed in New market area in Enugu. Just as destruction of lives and properties were observed in other locations in Imo, Anambra and Ebonyi states.
The sorrow caused to families by the five days sit-at-home declared by Simon Ekpa forced Nnamdi Kanu Lawyer, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor to file a case in court of law in Nigeria against Simon Ekpa.
The situation made many Nigerians to call on the Finland government to send Simon Ekpa back to Nigeria to pay for the alleged atrocities committed.
