[VIDEO] Angry Soldiers Kill 20 Innocent Villagers In Edo After Gunmen Kill Two In Separate Attack

In what looked like transfer of aggression, men of the Nigerian army led by one of the rival youth leaders at Obayanto Community situated off Sapele road and Airport road in Benin City have allegedly killed over 20 innocent defenseless citizens after the soldiers lost two men to gunmen in separate attack in the community.

It was gathered that the youths wing in the community had leadership crisis and on Friday, the former youth leader led some soldiers into the community at night to dissolve the newly inaugurated executive members but the youths resisted with exchange of gun fire with the soldiers, leading to the killing of two military personnel.

Residents said they were surprised, the soldiers reenforced and started killing indiscriminately any male child in the community.

Residents said some young women were raped and some of the killed innocent young and old men were in their sleep, trying to escape when the angry soldiers gunned them down.

A video of rescue team picking dead bodies from the streets and houses in Obayanto community shows some were killed inside sleep as the video shows some of the dead victims lying lifeless face down in their room.

Some of the dead bodies were found inside gutter.

One of the residents said thus: “Right now, more than two hundred soldiers have taken over our community.

“More than a hundred people have escaped from the clash with bullets wounds with other communities in the neighbourhood abandoning their homes.

“Those involved in the current clash are not immediately known as Obayanto community has been notorious for violent clashes over who superintendent over sales of lands.
