Unknown Soldiers, residents accused to be members of the Ebubeagu security outfit and Unknown Gunmen suspected to be members of the Biafra secessionist armed group, have wrecked havoc in Imo State.
The destruction of lives and properties by the two groups were carried out between Friday night and Saturday morning in Agwa and Izombe communities, all in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
While the Unknown Gunmen attacked the Agwa Police Divisional Headquarters, killing four policemen and set ablaze properties at the station, the Unknown soldiers on Saturday morning attacked residents at Izombe, burnt houses and set ablaze vehicles with some youths said to have been taken away.

Gunmen wreaking havoc in the Southeastern part of the country have attacked the Agwa Divisional Police headquarters in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state, killing at least four officers.
DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred on Friday night when the assailants invaded the area shooting sporadically before gaining access into the station.
According to a police source who confirmed the incident to DAILY POST on Saturday, the incident has triggered tension in the entire local government.
He said the gunmen burnt some vehicles in the station and destroyed other valuable items.
“There was an attack in the station and we learnt that about four officers were killed. The total damage cannot be ascertained at the moment”, he said.
Efforts by DAILY POST to reach the state Police Command proved abortive as the Public Relations Officer, Micheal Abattam did not take his calls.
