
Wife Sets Husband Ablaze In Osun Over Cheating
Osun State Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force has declared Ifeoluwa Bamidele wanted for the alleged murder of her husband; Bolu Bamidele.
Police declared the suspect wanted in a statement signed and made available by Yemisi Opalola, the Command spokesperson.
According to the Police, Ifeoluwa committed the act on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 11:30pm at Kola area in Obokun local government area of Osun State.
Police said, Ifeoluwa who also goes by the name Akanji Ifeoluwa Haddasah claimed that, her husband, a Cairo-based Nigerian, Bolu had impregnated another woman and in anger set him on fire.
It was gathered that the victim was initially rushed to Osogbo Central Hospital but later referred to the University College Hospital, Ibadan for specialised treatment, before he died.
The police spokesperson added that the Command in an effort to arrest the fleeing wife, had launched a manhunt for her.
The Police spokesperson denied news that, the wife, Ifeoluwa had committed suicide.
Ifeoluwa had reportedly left an angry note on her WhatsApp which stated that her husband drove her to the edge.
“I’ve always been a calm girl and I’ve never done this in my life but Teebam has pushed me to the edge,” the alleged WhatsApp note reads.
“At this point y’all will weep over myself and him before daybreak. I’m promising y’all that!!!
The Osun State Police Spokesperson also said the victim, Bolu Bamidele eventually died at UCH, Ibadan around 4pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
