Katsina State Commissioner Rabe Nasir Found Dead In Toilet Was Assassinated

Katsina state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has described the death of the state commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovations, Doctor Rabe Nasir whose lifeless body was found on Thursday inside his toilet as a case of assassination.

Governor Masari in a statement yesterday through the Governor’s Director General on Media, Abdu Labaran Malumfashi described the the murder as callous;

“A visibly shaken Governor Masari said that it was unfortunate that a life so promising is cut short by the dagger of assassins, vowing that the government would do everything possible to capture and punish accordingly, those responsible for the dastardly act.

“Doctor Nasir, whose lifeless body was found in the toilet of his residence, located at the Fatima Shema Housing Estate, yesterday was hacked to death by suspected assassins.

“He said it was so tragic that such young life would end abruptly, describing the deceased as a diligent, dedicated, hard working and loyal person who never failed in any assignment given to him”, the statement reads.

Governor Masari said the Commissioner’s death is a great loss to Katsina State and consoled the immediate family of the deceased, including two wives, children, an aged mother and several siblings, urging them to take solace in the fact that, in addition to the inevitability of death on every living soul, Nasir has lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation despite his relatively young age
