Army Wives Give Out To Sokoto Residents

President Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya on Thursday 7 December 2022 commisioned newly constructed Solar Powered Borehole and the renovated Vesicovaginal Fistula(VVF) Rehabilitation Centre at Maryam Sani Abacha Women and Children Hospital Sokoto.
Mrs Salamatu also donated sewing and knitting machines as well as medical equipment to the hospital as part of NAOWA Intervention to support the good people of Sokoto State.
Delivering her remarks, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya stated that NAOWA believes in providing for the less previledged and the medical intervention project is part of NAOWA actions to support medical facilities with requisite equipment to enhance health care service delivery to vulnerable groups.
In appreciation, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital Dr Bello Lawal on behalf of staff and patients of the hospital thanked the NAOWA President for her kind gesture and selfless service towards impacting positively in lives of women and children in the hospital adding that all contributions will be adequately used and maintained.
Present at the event were the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs Hajiya Kula Abdullahi Sifawa, Permanent Secretary Women Affairs Hajiya Aisha Muahmmed, NAOWA National Executives and Members among others.
