Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sealed off the event centre seen on a viral video where Celebrant shared Kegs of Premium Motor Spirit to guests, depicting the hardship Nigerians are faced with in the ongoing fuel scarcity across the country.

The viral video had shown the celebrant shared some few litres of petrol contained in gallons and distributed the product as souvenir to guests.

According to Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gboyega Akosile, the state Safety Commission and Rapid Response Squad sealed off the event centre for violating public safety rules.

BBC News Pidgin also reported yesterday that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has invited the people involved in the distribution of the petrol product as souvenirs.

The BBC reported this in accordance with the statement obtained from the Lagos State Commissioner for Information.

Nigerians are currently experiencing hardship as a result of fuel scarcity that have paralyzed many businesses and hindered several operations.
