According to local media, Negros Times, investigators said they already have leads of the possible owners of the reported three getaway vehicles that were found abandoned used by assailants during the armed attack that killed Negros Oriental Governor, Roel Degamo.
The Special Investigation Task Group, SITG, said they have coordinated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to track down the registration of the Black Mitsubishi Montero with plate number YAP 163, as well as the Mitsubishi Pajero with plate number NQZ 735, and the Green Isuzu Pickup Truck with plate number GRY 162.
The bloodstains that were discovered on the vehicles were also sampled for analysis by the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO).
Police Spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Ace Pelare could not give further details pending their inquisition. Pelare added he is certain that the other suspects—who are still at large—have not left Negros Island, according to the local media.
It would be recalled that Governor Roel Degamo and nine others were killed on Saturday at his resident while he was in a meeting with a group of people said to be beneficiaries of his philanthropy.
