Residents and traders at Nkwogbe market at Ihiala main town in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State today opened shops to the early morning rain of bullets from Unknown Gunmen who were after Suya Sellers preparing the IPOB banned Fulani cows.

It was gathered that the Unknown Gunmen attacked the town between the hours of 7 and 9 o’clock this morning.

Some Suya Sellers along the bank road were attacked but the people narrowly escaped deaths as they ran into one of the banks.

Eyewitnesses said the Unknown Gunmen followed the Suya Sellers into the bank, checked all the surroundings and couldn’t find any of them before the gunmen returned to the Suya spot and destroyed their properties.

Information from the residents indicated that no one was killed during the early morning attack but the Unknown Gunmen shot sporadically into the air unchallenged on a road that have Access bank, Zenith bank, Fidelity bank among other micro finance banks.

Meanwhile, Unknown Gunmen had on Monday attacked traders at a school campus in Uli town also in the Ihiala local government area for violating the sit-at-home order. The gunmen set ablaze one of the traders’ generator set while the trader was seen lying on the ground with gun pointed at him in a now viral video on social media.

It would be the recalled that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB had banned Fulani cows in the Southeastern states and decided that April 4th, 2022, enforcement of the ban would commence.
