Kidnapped Chibok Girl Found Among Families Of Surrendered Boko Haram Fighters

One of the Chibok Girls kidnapped by Boko Haram have been found among families of Boko Haram fighters said to have surrendered to men of the Nigerian Army recently in Borno state.

Information from Borno State Government House indicated that the Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum kept the discovery secret until the parents of the abducted school girl were reached and identified.

Babagana Umara Zulum today in Maiduguri, received Ruth Ngladar Pogu and reunited her with her parents.

Ruth Pogu is said to be one of the over 200 schoolgirls abducted seven years ago at a Government Secondary School in Chibok when Boko Haram attacked the school on April 14, 2014.

According to the Spokesperson to Borno State Governor, Malam Isa Gusau, Ruth Pogu was among the families of the Boko Haram fighters that surrendered to Nigeria Military on July 28, 2021 at Bama, Borno State.

Ruth Pogu with a little boy was said to have married one of the surrendered Boko Haram fighters during her captivity.
