N250m: Emulate Davido, Godswill Akpabio Begs Politicians, Others

Akwa Ibom State former Governor and the current Nigeria Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Obot Akpabio has appealed to politicians, business owners and entertainers in Nigeria to emulate the act of one of the Nigeria brightest music stars, David Adedeji Adeleke globally known as Davido who recently used his 29th birthday anniversary celebration to source fund from friends and fans amounting to two hundred million naira and donated the money in addition to his personal contribution of 50 million naira to orphanage homes across the country.

Godswill Akpabio made the appeal few hours ago when he played host to the music star.

According to the Minister, Davido’s attitude towards the less privileged in the society is commendable and worthy of emulation by other Nigerians in politics, businesses and entertainment.

“I recently played host to our music icon and philanthropist, David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido.

“His attitude towards the less privileged in the society made me to call on other Nigerians in politics, business and entertainment sectors to emulate him.

“I commend him on the N250 million humanitarian donations to the less privileged in the society and for joining other like minds in the society to touch and positively affect the lives of the less privileged in our society.

“I wish him a happy birthday and long life to do more for humanity”, Godswill Akpabio said.
