
Almost One Year After, Army Locates Wreckage Of Fighter Jet Shot Down By Boko Haram
Men of the Nigerian Army have seen the wreckage of the Alpha Jet aircraft, NAF475 shot down by Boko Haram terrorists in Sambisa Forest, Borno State.
According to information from the media unit of the Nigerian Army few minutes ago, the aircraft went off the radar with 2 crew members onboard on March 31, 2021.
The Army said the aircraft crashed on clearance patrol while information earlier gathered indicated that the aircraft was shot down by the Boko Haram terrorists in Sambisa Forest.
“BREAKING : Troops of Operation Desert Sanity on clearance patrol in Sambisa Forest, Borno State, have uncovered the wreckage of crashed Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) that went off the radar with 2 crew members on 31 March 2021. Further exploitation ongoing”, the army statement reads.
